Simpsons Prohibition Episode Review

Part 1: I think that the producers did a great job in portraying the Prohibition in Springfield. There was a lot more accuries than inaccurate information and the inaccurate information jsut made the episode better because it was comical. I personally enjoyed the episode and was able to easily compare the episode from the actual time period. Some elements that were well portrayed was the Prohibitionist's arguments made towards the evils of alcohol. Some other elements that were well potrayed was the increase in price of alcohol, formation of speakeasies and gangsters supplying alcohol.

Part 2: I feel like the scene where the Duff beer company sells their nonalcoholic beer could have been changed around to be more historically accurate. Maybe they could have promoted soda instead of nonalcholic beer. That could have been something unavialiable back in the 1920s which would be inaccurate then. the producers could have shown more of the alternatives instead of alcohol. Then a comedic effect could be added to those scenes.
