Progressive reform today
I think something that requires a progressive reform is the way we pass bills and laws. I feel that most bills and laws that are passed are not liked by the people. The government is set up for the people, why don't they listen to what we have to say. For example, the health care bill that was recently passed, the majority of Americans did not want that health care bill passed. Congress, the people elected to represent the people of the US passed the bill. Now that makes no sense at all because we elect members of Congress to represent us and they should listen to what we want. I find Congress a little bit corrupt and will do anything only to beat the other party, not listen to Americans. What we could do is have elections in order to pass bills and laws and altogether eliminate Congress and listen and let the people have the power.

REVENGE FOR THE U.S.S. MAINE
Yesterday the U.S.S. Maine had sunk in the Havana Harbor. There had been a mysterious explosion on board the ship which lead to its demise. An eye witness had seen a small craft moving away from the U.S.S. Maine shortly before the explosion occured. Some believe that this had been sabotage, by the Spanish! All of the Senate is crying for war. 200+ men were killed in the explosion and for us to do nothing about it is simply outrageous. The facts show that the Spanish had sabotaged our own ships and brought death upon our sailors! Recruiting stations all over the US have had many young men enlisting to seek revenge. It is all up to President Mckinley to get some pay back from the Spanish.
